Panagía Kapnikaréa Church
Panagía Kapnikaréa is a small 11th-century Byzantine church set in the middle of central Athens. It combines stone-and-brick exterior work, a dome-topped nave and layered chapels that were built over time. The church remains an active Orthodox sanctuary and offers a compact, quiet contrast to the surrounding busy shopping district.
