Fort St Elmo and the National War Museum
Fort St Elmo houses the National War Museum inside a 16th-century bastion at the tip of Valletta. The site combines well-curated displays on Malta’s military past with the fort’s defensive architecture and sweeping harbour panoramas. Parts of the museum are under improvement work, but most galleries remain open to visitors.
