Panathenaic Stadium

A marble stadium with roots in classical Athens and a key site in modern Olympic history. It hosted the first modern Olympic Games and still marks the start of the Olympic flame relay. Visitors can see the restored U-shaped arena and a small exhibition that explains its place in sport and civic life.
